What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at AIS CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT?
AIS Construction Equipment is the oldest Michigan owned and operated heavy equipment company in the state and has been serving customers for over 60 years. We are looking for an administrative assistant to join our Lansing Field Dispatch team. This is a full-time, in-person position (7am-5pm) Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with customers and service technicians, as well as sales, parts and other administrative staff within AIS
- Create, manage, and close work orders. This includes communication with service technicians, following up on job status, preparing invoices for customers, contacting the customer with total, and collecting payment as needed.
- Submit expense reports
- Data entry
- Submit invoices to accounts payable
- Complete new hire paperwork and set up new uniform accounts
- Assisting with department event planning
- Apparel ordering
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Organized with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Thorough
- Good phone etiquette
- Ability to work autonomously and with a small team
- Ability to take initiative to get tasks completed
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Detail-oriented and ability to multitask
- Experience with construction equipment a plus
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
