JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE TECH - 2nd Shift
DEPARTMENT: MAINTENANCE
REPORTS TO: ADVISOR, MAINTENANCE
General Summary
Perform detailed and complex job functions (ie. normal course of business activities). Investigate and recommend ways to improve efficiencies of daily job activities.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out daily instructions and assignments given by Team Leader or superior
- Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance activity
- Improve equipment by carrying out corrective maintenance activity
- Trouble-shoot and repair equipment using professional skills and abilities
- Work safely - following all safety instructions and standards
- Communicate all daily activity
- Submit all paperwork at end of shift
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to inform and instruct others regarding problems and preventive countermeasures
- Record-keeping skills necessary to inform and update work status
- Math skills necessary to calculate angles, dimensions, and sizes
- Ability to interpret and understand technical information and drawings
- Effective trouble-shooting skills
- Capable of using tools required on the job
- Maintenance knowledge sufficient to determine proper methods for repair
- Effective decision-making skills regarding machine repair and professional behavior
- Ability to work well independently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills necessary for both internal and external contact
- Perform other duties as assigned in order to ensure achievement of section, department, or company plan
- PLC troubleshooting experience
Minimum Level of Preparation & Training Required
- A 2-year degree in a maintenance related discipline or equivalent work experience
