Duties
- Conduct phone calls to clients to collect outstanding debts while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
- Analyze accounts to determine the best approach for collection and negotiate payment arrangements.
- Utilize financial software to track payments, update account statuses, and perform account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions related to debt collection.
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate billing.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues related to their accounts.
- Perform account analysis to identify trends in collections and recommend improvements.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical collection practices and understanding of revenue cycle management.
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and financial concepts.
- Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Background in customer service with a focus on building rapport and trust.
- Familiarity with accounting principles, including debits & credits, as well as accounting software applications.
- Competence in financial software for tracking payments and managing accounts.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for account reconciliation purposes.
