POSITION: Warehouse Associate
LOCATION: Fairbanks, AK
PAY: $20-$22/Hr DOE
SCHEDULE: Mon-Fri, Daytime Hours. Potential OT if Needed.

SUMMARY: Well known, long-established top electrical wholesale supply and distribution company located in Fairbanks, Alaska is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team! We specialize in providing our products and services to the local construction and industrial markets throughout the greater Fairbanks area. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for shipping and receiving, placing inventory into stock, picking and packing orders for delivery, loading and unloading trucks and trailers, warehouse housekeeping, and inventory control.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
• Preparing orders, pulling orders, box, wrap and packing merchandise and transporting packages to the shipping or counter area.
• Load and unload trucks and trailers by hand or by use of a hand truck, forklift, or dolly.
• Prepare bills of lading for shipment.
• Stay abreast of current and new products and the location of the inventory within the facility.
• Check merchandise in against receiving ticket, inspecting for damages and count faults.
• Prepare return tickets or warranty materials and record damage of faulty material.
• Report out-of-stock items to the warehouse manager.
• Maintain the warehouse so it is clean, organized, and safe for all employees.
• Perform cycle counting duties as requested.
• Assist customers at the counter when necessary.
• Sorting and placing warehouse items, as directed by organizational standards.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, safety rules and regulations.
• Attend team/company meetings and events as required.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Current forklift certification or ability to obtain ASAP.
• Experience with Reach Forklifts and or electric single/double pallet jacks for picking and receiving.
• Good interpersonal skills, organizational skills, basic keyboarding skills, & communicate well both verbally and in writing.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum of one (1) year experience
• Hands on experience with Warehouse Management Systems including Radio Frequency.
