What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visual Merchandising Coordinator position at Aki-Home?
Job Summary:
The Visual Merchandising Coordinator is responsible for developing the concepts, organizing the item procurement and ensuring the successful release and maintenance of the “Coordination” collections in the stores.
Essential Functions:

- Develops and implements annual Coordination Collection program to support the corporate objective of being a lifestyle store.
- Collaborates with the Buying team to ensure items are bought in a timely manner and in adequate quantities to ensure the successful roll-out of the Coordination Collections.
- Reviews and analyzes sales performances of the Coordination Collections against sales forecasts to determine effectiveness in a timely manner.
- Researches and proposes missing items and item groups as necessary to improve the Coordination Collections to the Merchandising Manager.
- Research competitor products, in-store presentations and other visual elements on a consistent basis.
- Collaborates with the Buying team to stay updated on new products and release dates.
- Assists in developing a floor plan for each Aki-Home store and implements updates weekly.
- Proposes systems and procedures to maintain in-store visual presentation standards for the company.
- Conducts periodic training for store employees about the visual standards of the company.
- Assist in planning visual-related projects (Advertisements, POP, Campaign Signage Store Openings, Store Remodels etc.) as assigned
- Oversees photo shoot of merchandise and lifestyle collections for Online and Campaigns.
- Schedule and manage weekly store push.
- Assist Merchandising and Store teams in tasks and projects as needed.
