Job description
Salary: $52,000 to $75,000 per year performance based bonuses
Benefits:
- Oversees the daily construction activities at a work site.
- Responsible for the overall progress of the project as well as the scheduling of workers and the delivery of equipment and materials.
- Works with contractors to complete project within the given budget and time frame.
- Resolves contract disputes and arranges any necessary order changes.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
- Ensure job sites are clean at end of day and ensure all equipment is properly secure for the night
- Follow instructions to ensure safety of entire crew
- Carry materials and supplies from trucks to job site so they are ready for installation or other tasks
- Test equipment and machinery to ensure it is in good working order
- Perform all duties assigned by the Construction Manager
- Ability to complete work on time and on budget with minimal supervision
- Experience on a construction crew preferred but not required
- Advanced organizational skills
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Able to pass drug and background screening
- Willingness to learn construction skills on-site
