Position Overview
Aksia is seeking to hire a Head of Portfolio Implementation to support portfolio construction, investment execution and new fund formation across Aksia’s discretionary investment management platform. The Head of Portfolio Implementation will work closely with Aksia’s operations, investment, risk and legal teams and will be responsible for overseeing the build out of a new Portfolio Implementation team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing trade execution and settlements of direct deals across multiple asset classes, supporting portfolio management, handling high transaction volumes across multiple portfolios, and working within a global investment organization.
This position can be remote or based out of our Chicago office on a hybrid basis.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the closing process for transactions by coordinating with investment, operations, risk and legal teams
- Lead the development and dissemination of portfolio reports and analytics to be shared among relevant Aksia committees. Work alongside operations and compliance teams to monitor portfolio capacity, currency hedging, liquidity, reserves and investment restrictions across Aksia’s discretionary investment platform
- Coordinate among investment, legal and operations teams to support the onboarding of new SMAs and funds
- Create ad-hoc reports for portfolio management teams and to support client reporting
- Work with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and senior leadership, providing transparent and timely communication
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience managing operations for large, complex, multi-asset portfolios, including direct deals, within a high-volume, dynamic environment
- Experience with credit transactions
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements and operational efficiencies in complex structures
- Strong leadership skills
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Experience with 40Act funds a plus
