Constituent Services Coordinator

Pay Range: $52,761.60 - $88,524.00

Note: The starting salary is determined based on education, experience, or a combination of both.

Location: Criminal Justice Center - Montgomery, Alabama

Job Summary:

The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) is seeking a Constituent Services Coordinator. This position is located on-site in Montgomery, Alabama.

This is full-time professional administrative and technical assistance work with supervision over remote or facility-based liaison/field representatives. Work responsibilities involve leading team efforts to ensure the prompt resolution of issues or concerns received from external constituents, including but not limited to friends or family of custody individuals, elected officials, or advocacy organizations.

The primary duties of Constituent Services Coordinator are as follows:

• Oversee the hiring and personnel management of liaison/field representatives.
• Develop and update training in the use of an inquiry tracking application.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve processes and optimize inquiry resolutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including departmental and facility leadership teams or representatives to ensure the timely gathering and sharing of information.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators.
• Prepare regular reports on team performance and outcomes.

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in any major. Major coursework in Business, Psychology, Counseling, and/or Social Work preferred.
• Three (3) years full-time, professional experience in customer or client service, program administration, or public relations.

OR

• Graduation from an accredited two-year college with an associate degree in any major. Major coursework in Business, Psychology, Counseling, and/or Social Work preferred.
• Five (5) years full-time, professional experience in customer service, program administration, or public relations.

OR

• Graduation from high school or GED certification.
• More than seven (7) years full-time, professional experience in customer service, program administration, or public relations.
  

Notes:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
• Demonstrate excellent leadership and team management skills.

In addition:

• Applicants must provide a list of all college-level courses taken in areas such as psychology, counseling, or social work. The list must include courses taken and credits received. Copies of college transcripts will be accepted.
• This position requires frequent travel, some of which may require overnight stays.
• Applicant must possess a valid Alabama driver's license at the time of appointment.
