Position Overview:
We’re looking for a personable and dependable Kavatender / Barista to join our team! The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys interacting with customers, thrives in a calm yet social atmosphere, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve kava, kratom teas, coffee, and other specialty beverages
- Engage warmly with customers and build genuine relationships with regulars
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and lounge area
- Restock supplies, clean equipment, and ensure daily operations run smoothly
- Handle cash and point-of-sale transactions accurately
- Follow proper health, safety, and beverage preparation protocols
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous barista, bartending, or café experience preferred (but not required)
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude
- Strong communication and multitasking skills and responsive to text/calls
- Reliable transportation and consistent availability
- Previous knowledge of kava, kratom, and herbal beverages (but not required)
