Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and efficient Busser to join our team at Alamo Cafe. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. This role supports the waitstaff and kitchen team, contributing to the smooth operation of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Table Maintenance: Clear and reset tables promptly and efficiently, ensuring they are ready for the next guests.
- Dining Area Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of the dining area, including floors, chairs, and high-traffic areas. Remove trash and debris from the dining area and restrooms.
- Guest Assistance: Assist guests with seating, special requests, and other needs. Provide chips and salsa service when necessary.
- Support to Waitstaff: Ensure servers have the necessary supplies to provide excellent service.
- Back-of-House Support: Assist with restocking server stations, organizing and replenishing supplies, and communicating with the kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to food safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with hosts, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry items up to [weight limit, typically 25-50 pounds].
- Appearance: Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Certificate: Food Handlers Certification required.
