What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director Legislative & External Affairs - DIS - req11766 position at alamo?
Develops, supports, and executes strategies to promote policy that advances the legislative and
community engagement priorities of the Alamo Colleges District (ACD) by tracking key policy
issues on all levels of government and providing analysis for the Chief Legislative, Industry &
External Relations Officer, ACD leadership, and the ACD Board of Trustees. Impacts policy
decisions by communicating the perspective of the ACD to elected officials and key stakeholders
while ensuring that the priorities of ACD are communicated to improve the lives of our students
and employees. The Director of Legislative & External Affairs should focus on institutional
priorities and emerging public policy issues. They should be able to help lead Alamo Colleges in
building alliances with key stakeholders to further advance the Alamo Colleges District’s quest to
become a model for student success and performance excellence.
The Director of Legislative & External Affairs reports to the Chief Legislative, Industry & External Relations Officer (CLO).
