What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foreclosure Legal Assistant position at ALAW?
Job Function
. Draft legal documents for attorney review including Notice of Sale, Notice of Default, supporting affidavits and various pleadings or sale documents.
. Perform Quality Control checks on drafted pleadings
· Request supporting documents from courts, counties or clients and diligently follow up for receipt.
· Communicate with clients and provide status of accounts in multiple Client Systems.
. Support the Firms Attorneys with general Legal Assistant tasks
· Coordinate and schedule hearings with opposing counsel and prepare documents for same.
· Cross train and assist in other departments to ensure continuity
Job Requirements:
- 1 or more years of Law firm experience a plus but not required.
- Legal experience in the foreclosure field is desired.
- Ability to work in high volume, fast paced environment
- Ability to maintain accuracy, be detail-oriented and highly productive;
- PC proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer (Excel a Must) .
- Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work both independently and contribute in every aspect to a team environment.
- Ability to problem solve independently.
- Must have a Positive attitude
