We are seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager to oversee accounts receivable. The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for managing various components of the Practice’s revenue cycle. This position will monitor collection activities, maximize payments, and ensure processes are in place to ensure accounts receivable metrics meet industry standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee month end closing processes, including reporting and account balancing.
- Evaluate billing processes and procedures and work jointly with the Billing Supervisor to implement changes as needed.
- Verifying and managing refunds in NextGen, ensuring proper authorization and documentation is followed.
- Ensures the correct contract schedules are uploaded to NextGen, run reports to identify trends in low or non-payments, as well as monitoring to see if payments are reaching charge amount.
- Manage billing of hearing aid charges to commercial payers.
- Chart review and draft response to insurance carrier inquiries about patient concerns.
- Monitor charge pricing annually to insure it remains competitive and adjust accordingly.
- Evaluating new cpt codes for reimbursement and documentation and educating practice providers and staff as needed.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 4 - 7 years of revenue cycle experience.
- Proficient computer skills including ability to master the EHR and practice management software; Experience with NextGen preferred.
- Consistent professional conduct, meticulous attention to detail, and critical thinking skills and a positive attitude are essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required as well as interpersonal skills with patients, providers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
