What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Maintenance Staff position at ALC/LVMA?
Are you a skillful in general repairs, building maintenance and working with others? ALC/LVMA is looking for assistant maintenance staff. This position will work full time assisting our maintenance supervisor in all upkeep and maintenance of our seven locations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drywall/plaster repair and painting
- Furniture assembly and relocation
- Changing lights and/or fixtures
- Grounds security and maintenance
- Maintain tools and equipment in clean, safe, working order
Must have the ability to:
- Perform semi-skilled facility maintenance.
- Safely and effectively use, operate, and maintain equipment and tools.
- Perform heavy manual labor
- Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and inspect work sites
- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials of 50lbs or heavier weights with assistance and/or the use of proper equipment.
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments with moderate to loud noise levels.
- Work in controlled temperature conditions, cold and hot temperatures, or inclement weather conditions.
- Independently organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments.
- Maintain records and files on work performed.
- Use English effectively to communicate in person, over the telephone, and in writing
Must be a licensed driver with a clean driving record. Be able to pass background checks and obtain clearances to work at a childcare facility.
