About You:
Perform Analysis and sampling duties for control purposes using established procedures.
- Prepare and analyze samples representing various selected production processes and Environmental monitoring sites for process control and regulatory purposes.
- Prepare and standardize designated solutions for use in the laboratory and the plant.
- Obtain and report data to meet environmental standards necessary to comply with regulatory standards.
- Obtain and report data necessary to aid in in-plant processes regulation.
- Inspect, calibrate, and operate all laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintain calibration records and update ISO documentation for the controlled instrumentation.
- Maintain instrumentation calibration standards.
- Update daily data entry spreadsheets and databases.
- Create corrective actions and participate in Root cause analysis when necessary.
- Maintain QA/QC records for regulatory purposes.
- Inspect, calibrate, and operate SO2 monitoring equipment.
- Investigate, create, and update analytical procedures as directed by supervisor.
- Perform calculations, maintain records, and prepare reports.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.
- Grind and press bath samples.
- Sample collection of environmental and process control samples and maintain the sample sites.
- Keep instrumentation in operating order by activities such as: Cleaning, replacing light bulbs and batteries, and minor components.
Job Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biology.
