Housekeeper - 6-Bed Health Facility - PT 8AM to 12:30PM - 2 Days/Week

Job Description
We are a Congregate Living Health Facility with a 6-patient capacity. Specializing in post-surgery and post-hospitalization recovery offering physical and occupational therapy with 24-hour nursing care to get patients back to living their life to the fullest. We strive to be the premier post-acute recovery facility in the Antelope Valley and surrounding areas, providing excellent patient care and customer service in a clean, comfortable, newly renovated facility. We have one position open for a Housekeeper. You will be required to perform various housekeeping duties to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of the facility. Shifts are 8 am to 12:30 pm.
Requirements:
 High school diploma or equivalent
 Resume must be updated and current to be considered
 Prior experience in Janitorial or housekeeping is a must
 Moderate to heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 40 lbs)
 Ability to respect the privacy and dignity of patients
 Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English
 Basic computer skills, preferred but not required
 Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
 Ability to safely use cleaning supplies and operate housekeeping and environmental equipment in a manner that keeps himself/herself, colleagues, and patients free from harm
 Successful completion of pre-employment physical & drug screening, including TB and Hep B prior to employment start date
Responsibilities:
 Assembles materials and supplies and transports to work area
 Cleans assigned areas by washing furnishings, equipment and mopping floors with special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent the spread of bacteria and disease
 Maintains overall cleanliness of facility’s interior, and exterior walkways
 Reports any unusual problems, occurrences, safety hazards or concerns regarding patients, staff and the facility
 Provide a high level of customer service to our patients and employees
 Adhere to cleaning schedules as assigned
 Demonstrate ability to take initiative and follow through
 Organizes and utilizes time appropriately; sets priorities to accomplish multiple assigned tasks
 Respects patients rights and adheres to community philosophy of patient care
 Daily environmental check of the outside perimeter, walkways and common areas to ensure free of
debris and any potential hazards
 Act and follow Alderbrook, Inc.’s current policies and procedures
