Administrative Assistant
Aldersgate Special Needs Ministry – Irmo, SC
Aldersgate Special Needs Ministry (ASNM) is a private residential provider for adults with developmental disabilities. We are a ministry of the SC Conference of the United Methodist Church. For more information about the ministry, visit www.aldersgatesnm.org.
The administrative assistant will work in the corporate office under the supervision of the executive director. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator, self-motivated and capable of prioritizing tasks.
Pay: $15 per hour
Schedule: 25 hours per week
Job Duties
- Assist with scheduling and calendar management
- Help with coordinating Board of Trustees meetings and other events
- Assist with preparing relevant reports, documents and materials required for board and committee meetings
- Help draft correspondence and marketing materials
- Assist with updating frequently used documents and spreadsheets
- Answer calls, emails and assist with correspondence
- Responsible for ordering office supplies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1 year(s) of experience in an administrative role
- 1 year(s) of experience in writing minutes for meetings
- Proficient and/or advanced in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and PDF software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion
- Strong listening skills and the ability to follow directions
- High School diploma or GED
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Experience using DonorSnap or similar CRM software
- Experience using Constant Contact or similar email marketing platform
- Associates degree
- Event planning and/or project management experience
