Position: Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP)
Qualifications:
- Degree in Human Services, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICF/IDD setting.
- Valid driver’s license.
- No previous criminal record.
Responsibilities:
As a QIDP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the welfare of our clients through the following duties:
- Advocacy: Act as a dedicated advocate for each client, ensuring their physical, social, and psychological well-being.
- Habilitation Planning: Chair annual habilitation planning sessions, facilitating systematic and orderly meetings, and leading group discussions.
- Individualized Program Plans (IPP): Develop and implement IPPs based on annual staffing, tailoring programs to meet individual needs.
- Referrals: Make referrals as directed by the Habilitation Team, connecting clients with essential services and resources.
- Evaluations: Compile and write evaluations on clients' Activities of Daily Living, providing valuable insights for ongoing support.
- Activity Scheduling: Develop a comprehensive 24-hour activity schedule for clients, ensuring a well-rounded and engaging environment.
- Programmatic Monitoring: Monitor and report on programmatic deficiencies, ensuring adequate programming for all clients.
- Progress/Treatment Reviews: Chair monthly Progress/Treatment reviews, providing regular progress notes to track client development.
- Staff Training: Conduct in-service training for staff on client programs, fostering a knowledgeable and supportive team.
- IDT Membership: Serve as a valuable member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) on the Human Rights Committee (HRC).
- Directorial Support: Complete other tasks as assigned by the Director of Programming, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
