We seek a qualified and skilled Dispatcher/Logistics Coordinator that'll be tasked with aiding in overseeing the logistics of our entire operations, which allow our company to be one of the largest non-emergency medical transportation provers in the central region of Virginia.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Creating routes and dispatching drivers efficiently and maximizing multiloading
- Communicating with insurance providers, facilities, and clients to accept, reject, and acknowledge cancelled trips
- Acting as the main point of contact for drivers and clients
- Planning the next day's trips in advance by organizing a daily trip manifest
- Creating routes and dispatching drivers while maximizing efficiency and multiloading
- Assisting and delegating office responsibilities with the team
- Cross-trans and perform other duties as assigned
- Previous experience dispatching, with logistics mindset
- Ability to manage variables and factors while considering outcomes (type of van, number of drivers, driving time, time off)
- Strong digital, phone, and written communication skills (answer 100 calls a day)
- Intimate knowledge of the Richmond metro area (zip codes, streets, regions)
- Effective at managing competing, high-level priorities - must be able to manage periods of stressful workload
- 5:00am to 7pm (5am-12pm & 12pm to 7pm alternating shifts)
- Monday to Friday
- Work until final trip is dispatched
- Potential to work weekends
