What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Legal-Commercial position at Alibaba Cloud?
- Advise on legal aspects of Alibaba Cloud’s international expansion, key focus is on ensuring compliance and leading compliance projects as well as commercial contract and negotiation support for North and South America region.
- Provide advice to business teams on legal aspects of new business models and strategies, business operations and marketing activities.
- Negotiate, draft and review contracts and commercial agreements.
- Develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative ways and address risks with flexible solutions.
- Legal qualification to practice in US jurisdiction.
- 8-15 years post-qualification experience at a law firm and/or corporation.
- Technology sector experience or technology education background would be a plus.
- Sincere interest in technology, innovation and business.
- Highly motivated, have a strong sense of ownership, are inquisitive and enthusiastic about technology, and can demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
