What are the responsibilities and job description for the Branch Manager position at Align Credit Union?
Role:
To oversee the daily operations, sales and service culture of the branch. To ensure all members are provided the highest level of member service.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading the team to meet and exceed sales and service goals while maintaining high focus on state and federal regulations as well as Align Credit Union policies.
- Exercising administrative control over the day-to-day functions. Delegate and assign work as required and exercise management authority concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, and salary recommendations. Ensure implementation of Credit Union policies and explanation of Credit Union programs, procedures, and objectives.
- Encourage and maintain a positive work environment by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to successfully work with members, teammates, management and vendors.
- Effectively interview, hire, train, coach and motivate the branch team on an ongoing basis. Set performance goals, provide feedback and recognition and identify areas where additional internal or external training is needed.
- Monitor branch activity and performance, including number of transactions, errors, loan volume, sales, new accounts, etc. to identify areas of growth and improvement.
- Proactively seeks opportunities to grow your branches book of business. Leads sales process in your community through development of new relationships with organizations and members of the community, while maintaining and deepening existing relationships. Additionally represent the Credit Union through volunteer efforts in your branch community and encourage participation by staff.
- Make appropriate and effective decisions and exercise sound judgement when necessary. Provide exceptional member service and independently resolve issues and complaints.
- Ensuring that there is always adequate coverage for all positions within the branch when allowing time off. Be able and willing to fill in for all aspects of branch functions which include Teller and Member Service Representative duties.
- Ensure the branch is in compliance with governmental and regulatory agencies and credit union laws, regulations, policies and procedures to protect the Credit Union and its members against criminal and fraudulent operations and unnecessary risk or exposure.
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or related field
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
