We are seeking a resourceful and collaborative HR Generalist to support our Human Resources Business Partner teams in North America in delivering smooth and efficient business operations. This individual contributor role will provide support across multiple HR functions, including policy management, employee relations, performance, and HR programs.
Role expectations
If provided, base salary or wage rate ranges are the range in which Align reasonably expects to set a candidate’s pay for the posted position. Actual placement depends on the individual skills and experience level of a candidate plus the total compensation and equity across team members. For other locations outside of the primary location, the base salary range will be adjusted geographically.
For Field Sales roles, the salary listed is the base pay only and does not include the applicable incentive compensation plan. A cost of living adjustment may be added to base pay for higher cost areas in the U.S.
Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.

We are seeking a resourceful and collaborative HR Generalist to support our Human Resources Business Partner teams in North America in delivering smooth and efficient business operations. This individual contributor role will provide support across multiple HR functions, including policy management, employee relations, performance, and HR programs.
Role expectations
- Provide guidance on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct internal HR investigations and ensure timely resolution.
- Support onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless employee experience.
- Administer and interpret policies related to immigration, leaves of absence, and workplace accommodations.
- Assist in the development, communication, and maintenance of HR policies and the employee handbook.
- Provide guidance on performance management processes, including documentation, coaching, and improvement plans.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to support compliance with employment laws and internal standards.
- Maintain HRIS records and ensure data accuracy for reporting and audits.
- Support HR projects and programs such as engagement initiatives, training rollouts, and organizational changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve HR service delivery and employee experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4 years of progressive HR experience, preference to candidates with employee relations experience.
- Experience with supporting business in Canada is highly desired.
- Strong understanding of employment law, HR policies, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
