About the Role: As part of our Front Office team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our young patients receive the care they need with a smile. You'll be the friendly face welcoming families, explaining treatment plans in kid-friendly language, and coordinating appointments with ease. Your superpower? Some of your responsibilities would be:
- Communicate with parents about the treatment needs of their child
- Answer a multi-line phone system
- Maintain an accurate patient schedule
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for treatment
- Knowledge of or ability to learn basic and advanced dental terminology and being comfortable with presenting dental information to parents.
- Daily collections management - enter charges for services, collect "over the counter" payments for each patient
- Present treatment plan and financial arrangements to parents
- Send and follow up with insurance companies on treatment pre-authorizations
- Collect and process patient payments and assist with billing inquiries
- Track patient treatment progress to ensure all treatment is being scheduled and completed
- Follow up with dental offices on referrals to ensure seamless patient care
- Manage work schedule for treatment plans, treatment letters and phone calls
- Provide exceptional customer service and address parent concerns or questions in a professional manner
