What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aluminum Welder/Fabricator - Level 2 position at All American Marine?

All American Marine in Bellingham, WA is seeking to hire a full-time Level 2 Welder/Fabricator to help us efficiently build our customized vessels. This position pays $23-$30/hour dependent upon your experience. Qualifications for Level 2 Aluminum Welder/Fabricator:

  • Minimum of 2 years aluminum welding, strong fabricating and fitting skills
  • Master (highly proficient) working from Hull, Cabin, and small assembly drawings
  • Mig weld vessel exterior to meet visual and QA standards, understanding of when and where to balance overall quality with overall productivity with respect to welding. Know when and where to apply and complete visually high-quality welds.
  • Understand when and where to apply Mig and Tig welding
  • Fabricate and weld pipe assemblies (handrails, arch etc.)
  • Fabricate and weld small and finish assemblies
  • Ability to work independently in a productive manner and physical ability to work at heights and tight spaces
  • Operate all large shop equipment safely and productively (standing shop tools, not hand tools)

All American Marine began operations over 30 years ago by specializing in building aluminum fishing vessels used from California to Alaska. With the decline of the commercial fishing industry in the 1990s, we adapted to a changing marketplace and set the standard for aluminum vessel manufacturing. We build energy-efficient, high-speed, large custom vessels used for a variety of purposes including whale watching, research boats, patrol boats, and passenger-only ferries.
