The Admissions Coordinator Position:
The Admissions Coordinator will work in conjunction with the Intake, Transition and Authorization teams to streamline the Admission process. Duties will include cross training with each department to maximize the efficiency to perform all related tasks with complete sound judgement. These duties will include managing the referral process through various electronic discharge systems, medical records requests, obtaining MD verification on referrals, transition all referrals from intake to admission, verify benefits and eligibility and communicate any out of pocket costs to the patient, obtain insurance authorization for services ordered to provide and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The Admissions Coordinator needs to have previous experience with intake, insurance verification or transitional care. Must demonstrate a high commitment to customer service and quality standards. Prior experience in Home Health is preferred. Must also have strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, professional phone demeanor, detailed oriented and must be able to multi-task.
