Position Description :

The Storage and Data Protection Services Admin is required to exercise independent judgment and possess the technical skills to interpret operations problems and to develop the necessary procedures to correct and prevent future occurrences.  He / she must be able to interact and communicate effectively with management and other personnel throughout the organization.  Also, good time management discipline, strong oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within a team environment are key skills.

Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves storage and backup system OS and hardware alerts.  Works effectively with cross-function teams of IT professionals to troubleshoot these systems. Tracks the resolution of all issues. Escalates critical issues appropriately to the senior analysts while on shift.  Identifies inefficiencies in SDPS processes and documentation of processes.  Identifies trends in alerting and works to proactively resolve these trends.

Completes project related tasks as assigned by the SDPS Manager.  Works to coordinate activities with the next tier teams.

Requires :

• A 2 year associates degree or a 4-year bachelor degree in systems administration or another computer-related field.
• 5 years of IT systems administration.
• US Citizen
• System Administration experience in VMWare, VMware V-Realize, Windows Server (2008 - 2019) and Linux (Red Hat)
• Backup technologies : Veeam, NetApp
• Storage technology : Dell / EMC
