Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Substitute Teacher / Director to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring that students continue to engage with the curriculum in the absence of their regular teacher or director. This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, ensuring that educational objectives are met.
- Maintain classroom discipline and manage student behavior in accordance with school policies.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all students.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Adapt instructional methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
- Engage students in learning activities that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other non-classroom activities as required.
Requirements
- Strong literacy education background with experience in lesson planning and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings and student needs.
