We are seeking a motivated and mission-driven Recruiter to join our team and lead the hiring of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other human services professionals. This role plays a critical part in identifying and attracting compassionate candidates to provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, and other support requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in high-volume recruiting, understands the unique challenges of the human services sector, and is committed to hiring individuals who reflect our core values of dignity, inclusion, and kindness.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle recruitment for various positions through the applicant tracking system (Apploi)
Partner with program managers and HR to understand staffing needs, job requirements, and candidate qualifications
Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates through job boards, social media, community outreach, and job fairs
Screen and interview candidates to assess experience, commitment, and alignment with agency values and client needs
Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified applicants to meet hiring targets and reduce time-to-fill metrics
Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and provide guidance through the selection and offer process
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory hiring requirements
Track and report recruitment metrics (e.g., time to hire, candidate source effectiveness)
Represent the organization professionally at job fairs, college events, and community hiring events
Continuously improve recruitment strategies by staying informed about labor market trends and best practices in the human services industry
Qualifications:
Required:
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Work, or a related field, or equivalent experience
2 years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience, preferably in healthcare, nonprofit, or human services
Proven success in high-volume recruiting, preferably for direct care or support roles
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage and motivate candidates
Proficient with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Occasional travel for job fairs or recruitment events may be required
May require occasional evening or weekend hours depending on hiring needs
Preferred:
Experience recruiting for Direct Support Professional or similar caregiver roles.
Knowledge of regulatory and licensing requirements in human services or healthcare settings
Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/ASL) a plus
