Overview
The children’s activities and nursery aid supports the church’s mission by teaching, loving, nurturing, and caring for children, newborn through pre-K. This leader builds upon the spiritual foundation being laid by the child’s family.
Responsibilities:
- Arrive at least 15 mins prior to scheduled programing, ready to greet parents and receive children.
- Sign-in children and record parents’ emergency contact information.
- Maintain a safe physical, emotional, and spiritual environment.
- Work with church staff and volunteers to set up activities and lessons.
- Set up for children’s events and activities.
- Demonstrate God’s love in word and action through interactions and play with children.
- Guide children to interact with their peers in safe, healthy, and God-honoring ways.
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with fellow leaders.
- Notify church staff of any health, safety, or resource-related concerns.
- Communicate dates you’ll be gone with church staff as early as possible, preferably a minimum of two weeks in advance. If possible, arrange trades with aids serving opposite weeks. If a “week-of” emergency arises, text the parish administrator immediately.
- Respond promptly to communications from the All Saints’ staff.
- Know and follow guidelines from the Children & Youth Ministry Policies/Procedures handbook.
- Know and be confident in emergency response procedures and your role in them.
- Complete required Safe Church training before first shift.
- It is the responsibility of the children’s aid and volunteers to clean the spaces used, completing the following after each event:
- Nursery room: put away toys, clear off counter, put away craft supplies in the appropriate place in the art room, and vacuum carpet.
- Theatre room: wipe down all surfaces and vacuum carpet.
Estimated Weekly Rhythm:
- Sunday mornings onsite: 2-3.5 hours
- Wednesday nights onsite: 2.5 hours
- Special events as needed

- Proactive, positive, and timely.
- Engages with both parents and children.
- Good organization and communication.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.20 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 6 per week
