Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Santa Fe team! This person will be responsible for the overall upkeep and maintenance of rental properties.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct ongoing room preventative maintenance.
• Review maintenance problems, complaints and work orders to prioritize and schedule work.
• Conduct property inspections to identify potential and current needs.
• Complete work orders and keep paper records to log performed maintenance work
• Maintain the building exteriors, and property grounds.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 1 - 3 years building maintenance experience required, hotel environment preferred.
• Demonstrate the ability to maintain professional composure at all times, while performing multiple tasks among staff, multiple guests/multiple items/products.
• Demonstrate personal involvement and supervision to ensure the workplace is safe for all guests, owners, and staff; Enforces all health and safety/sanitation standards.
• Physical ability i.e. lifting, bending, moving about with a fair amount of walking involved.
• Self-directed in performing routine maintenance tasks and dealing with incoming work order requests.
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail when handling assigned work orders
• Basic skills in painting, drywall, windows, doors, stucco, cement repairs.
• Basic repair of broken or leaking plumbing and restore full use of water fixtures.
• Some knowledge in maintaining A/C & HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the functioning properly.
• Apply preventative measures to the buildings/property to mitigate the risk of future problems.
• Identify and communicate existing or potential issues to facilities manager.
• Cleaning, maintaining, and proper storage of the tools and equipment.
• Abiding by different safety measures and policies to avoid injuries.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
