Job Description
We’re looking for a Lead Instructor to bring after-school STEM programs to students in Long Beach and surrounding communities. If you're passionate about science and love working with kids, this position offers a great opportunity to teach and inspire.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach interactive STEM lessons using structured, ready-to-go curriculum
- Engage students in hands-on projects and encourage collaboration
- Create a welcoming, well-managed classroom environment
- Be available weekday afternoons (shifts generally start around 1:00 PM)
- Travel to schools in the Long Beach area for in-person instruction
Qualifications
- Energetic, responsible, and student-focused
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and consistent transportation
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Experience working with youth (education, camp, tutoring, etc.)
- Interest in education or science-related fields
- Strong communication and classroom presence
- Eagerness to grow and contribute to a positive team culture
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: $30.00 to $40.00, based on experience
