This position is a 12-hour shift and will support the MRI department on steady nights from 6 PM to 6 AM, Monday through Friday, with alternating weekend coverage. The nurse will work primarily in the MRI department and will support the IR department when needed. The role involves providing professional nursing care in a perioperative setting, circulating during invasive procedures and providing moderate sedation. Collaboration with radiologists and technologists in a fast-paced, high-volume environment specializing in neurointervention is required. Core clinical skills include comprehensive physical and physiological assessment, medication management, respiratory and cardiovascular support, invasive line management, and strict infection control. The job is located at Allegheny General Hospital, a Level I Shock Trauma Center with state-of-the-art facilities. Essential responsibilities include conducting pre-procedural assessments, participating in care during Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology procedures, proper documentation, maintaining a safe environment, and monitoring aseptic technique. Qualifications include at least one year of recent Critical Care or Radiology RN experience, required clearances and certifications, and current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through eNLC.
