POSITION TITLE: QA Inspector
DEPARTMENT: Quality
REPORTS TO: Supervisor, QA
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Perform all routine QA Inspector functions under the direction of the QA Supervisor. Act as backup for all routine QA Warehouse functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform Line Clearances for Manufacturing, Compression, and Packaging
· Perform in process checks for Compression (hardness, weight, friability, thickness)
· Perform in process checks for Packaging (count, container, seal, label, etc.)
· Review in-process batch documentation to ensure real-time completion and accuracy
· Inspect and sample raw material and components
Backup Responsibilities:
· Perform physical inspection of incoming raw materials and components
· Sample raw materials for submission to QC lab
· Document inspectional processes on associated forms. Log all forms as required.
· Apply release stickers to all released materials and move to general warehouse location
· Reject all materials that fail inspection/testing, write up rejection paperwork, quarantine rejected material for final disposition.
· Maintain QA Quarantine area and inventory.
General:
· Utilize forklifts to perform duties as required
· Adhere to all cGMP requirements and document all work
· Other QA responsibilities as needed
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or GED
· Prior QA and cGMP experience preferred
· Prior experience within the Pharmaceutical or other controlled Industry preferred
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Basic math skills
