The Spa at Allegretto Vineyard Resort is seeking Pool Attendants

JOB PROFILE (a summary of key responsibilities and subjective attributes):

The Pool Attendant should present a positive impression of the establishment’s friendliness, excellent service and high standards. The upscale yet casual setting is intended to promote an environment of casual elegance in setting and atmosphere that exudes genuine care and heartfelt service. Providing an unforgettable experience from the first point of guest contact to the departing farewell. Engaging with guests, anticipating their needs and taking initiative to improve their stay will be focus areas for the pool attendant.

The Pool Attendant is responsible for orienting guests to the pool facilities and assisting in providing personal guest service in an attentive, courteous and friendly manner. A Pool Attendant must be able to carry natural conversation with Guests without sounding scripted or intrusive. Pool attendants are responsible for performing basic custodial services including keeping the pool areas neat, clean and stocked with all amenities. Availability must include nights and weekends.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

3) Creatively and actively interested in the events and activities around the resort and local area
4) Ability to work with, understand, and relate to a culturally diverse workforce.
5) Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized pool environment through consistent monitoring of the pool area.
6) Develops a strong knowledge of the hotel's facilities and services and of the surrounding community.
7) Fluency in the English language.
8) Possess a positive, outgoing and naturally curious personality.
9) Thorough knowledge of proper service.
10) Professional appearance and demeanor.
11) Excellent presentation and communication skills.
12) Exude a warm and sincere approach to guest service.
13) Enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
14) Efficient, polite and aggressively hospitable.
15) High energy, flexible and adaptable.
16) Experience in “reading” guests/customers and anticipating their needs.
17) Ability to exercise patience and diplomacy.
18) Interdependent with the desire to take initiative and work in a fast paced, team oriented environment
19) Develop ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time.

Desirable:
1.) Experience in hospitality or spa/fitness industry.
2.) Previous guest relations training.
3.) Fluency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish.
