Job Summary
Responsible and accountable for performing direct and indirect patient care according to standards set for quality and compassionate patient care and those duties approved by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. Responsible for initial and on-going patient assessments, developing, planning and implementing appropriate patient care and care plan in accordance with doctor’s orders and evaluating patient response to said care. Responsible for accurate, concise, legible, and timely documentation of all pertinent patient information. Appropriately and professionally communicates between staff members, management, and physicians/NP. The RN functions as an integral part of the nursing team. All tasks must be performed in compliance with established policies and procedures of Allen Parish Hospital and supervised by the Nurse Manager, and/or the Director of Nursing.
*JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: **
1 year experience as RN in the Acute care setting
Complies with LSBN requirements for CEUs
License:**
Current licensure as a RN in the State of Louisiana is required
BLS/CPR certification is required
CPI/MOAB certification is required
ACLS certification is required
PALS certification is required
Confidentiality: **
Must adhere to HIPAA regulations according to Allen Parish Hospital Policy, and uphold the Privacy Act law and regulations.
