Responsibilities:
Works directly with youth and their treatment team to provide support and assistance in positively engaging in community activities based upon identified areas of interest in order to develop, apply and improve his/her adaptive and developmental functioning and promote the achievement of established treatment goals from a trauma informed perspective. Emphasis is on the strengthening and application of skills in practical home and community environments and to increase independence and functioning in less restrictive settings. Therapeutic mentors will also provide respite service hours to qualified youth and their families to help support and prevent crisis or escalation within the home.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field or a high school diploma with a minimum of five years documented experience in mental health or human services.
