Key Responsibilities:

As a Podiatric Medical Assistant at our organization, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting Podiatrists in providing patient care, including measuring vital signs, educating patients, and updating patient progress notes under the guidance of the podiatrist.
  • Preparing treatment rooms for examinations, ensuring they are well-stocked with necessary equipment and supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Meticulously documenting all patient assessments, laboratory results, pathology tests, radiological studies, and medical history in the patient's chart.
  • Assisting in the accurate transcription of clinical information into the patient's medical record.
  • Accompanying patients in and out of the office, collecting medical insurance information, and facilitating follow-up appointments when needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • A solid understanding of medical terminology.
  • Willingness to pursue certification as a Podiatric Medical Assistant through the American Society of Podiatric Medical Assistants.

Preferred:

  • One year of experience working as a Medical Assistant.
  • Familiarity with infection control guidelines.
  • Advanced computer and data entry skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
