Job Summary
Invenio has a career-building opportunity for a Buyer to join a dynamic and rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate will be positive, proactive, innovative, and have a “can-do” attitude. The buyer will lead and direct all facets of purchasing in support of our US manufacturing operations based in Peachtree Corners, GA.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Process purchase orders and manage order confirmations, ensuring timely delivery and addressing discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with Sourcing, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts, ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and delivery standards
- Collaborate with accounting and warehouse on timely receipt, bill entry and research required to maintain good vendor relationships.
- Facilitate material returns with buyers, warehouse, vendors and accounting
- Create and publish weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics related to purchasing.
- Maintain updated vendor open purchase order reports
- Drive continuous supplier improvement in purchase price and total cost, including supply chain performance cost.
- Ensure that category spend is compliant with contract and procurement policy with a strong emphasis on ensuring business continuity.
- Ensure processes are followed in the areas of purchasing, handling and shipment in compliance with our Quality Management System
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement supply chain best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Effective and frequent communication regarding material updates that pose a potential supply chain impact to the organization.
- Vocal point for international global expediting of North America Team in support of global buyers.
- Provide direction to global team members as required to quickly resolve open issues relative to suppliers and purchasing.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance or related fie
- 3 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain or Operations
- Experience in managing complex supply chains with multiple SKUs and suppliers.
- Medical buying experience preferred, an understanding of custom procedure pack business would be advantageous
Qualification
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to work with suppliers and multiple lines of business
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with various teams across the organization
- Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term goals and day-to-day operations
- Assertive, resilient, and welcomes change
- Experience in process implementation and required internal controls
- Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets
- Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency
- Experience with financial analysis
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (NetSuite experience a plus)
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based with occasional visits to supplier locations or production sites.
- May require travel for supplier meetings or industry events (up to 10%).
