PART-TIME FRENCH TEACHERS
The Alliance Française de Denver is seeking Part-time French Teachers to teach in-person at our location in Denver. We are looking for teachers for adult and youth classes! You will be able to schedule classes according to your needs and can choose classes that interest you to teach.
POSITION SUMMARY
The part-time French teacher will teach private and/or group classes at our Denver location. They will teach according to the Alliance Française guidelines and pedagogical principles, which are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. They will promote the core values and mission of the Alliance Française.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- To prepare lesson plans and interactive activities for each class
- To implement the Alliance Française curriculum, its teaching philosophy, methods and textbooks
- To guide students to learn to speak, understand, read and write French
- To use technology to support instruction
- Tailor instruction to student needs and performance
- To assign work / homework according to the needs of students
- To promote French and Francophone cultures
- To participate in teachers’ meetings and teachers’ training opportunities 1-2 times per year
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Near-native or native French speaker
- Master in FSL / FLE or DAEFLE preferred
- Experience in teaching French language
- Proof or eligibility to work in the United States (i.e, work permit, work visa, or green card)
- 1 year experience living in a French speaking country preferred
Availability to teach evening classes (6:00-8:30 p.m.) and Saturday classes (9:30-12:00) preferred
PAY RATE
The expected rate for this position is $30/hour
