Job Description:
Job Description - Material Handler Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
* May be required to load/unload US mail from/into airline containers
* May be required to load/unload trucks
* May be required to push/pull USPS rolling stock equipment with and without (empty) US Mail
* May be required to push full/empty airline containers on ball decking
* May be required to load/unload full or empty airline equipment from Company transport dollies
* May be required to scan mail into/out of airline containers.
* May be required to weigh airline containers utilizing Company ball decking and scales
* May be required to validate the serviceability of airline containers based of airline requirements
* May be required to operate GSE equipment including but not limited to trucks and tugs
* May be assigned administrative duties by the supervisor which includes equipment checks/reports
Minimum Requirements
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Possess a High school diploma, GED or work experience equivalent is a plus
* Must pass a drug test/ background check and be able to obtain airport security clearance.
* Must be able to pass certain requirements mandated by the United States Post Office including but not limited to
o Have a verifiable 5-year work history (Unemployed ok, if it is accounted for)
o Have a verifiable 5-year United States (or any of its territories) residence
o No pending or current felonies less than 10 years old. Some charges may disqualify you altogether regardless of length
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to lift 70 pounds
* Must be able to stand lift, bend, push, pull and sit for extended periods of time
* Must be willing to work in warehouse environment
Additional Requirements:
* Job Type: Part-time
* Must be flexible to work various shifts including weekends or irregular shifts
* Benefits after probationary period.
