Armed Security Officer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Armed Security Officer to join our team. The Armed Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, employees, and visitors. This role requires a strong background in law enforcement or a related field, as well as excellent conflict management and loss prevention skills. The ideal candidate will possess a certificate in CPR and first aid, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct patrols and surveillance of the premises, both day and night, to identify and prevent potential security breaches.
- Monitor CCTV systems and respond to any alarms or alerts as necessary.
- Maintain a high level of visibility and engagement with visitors, employees, and contractors to deter criminal activity.
- Use effective conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations and protect the safety of all individuals on site.
- Identify and address potential security risks or vulnerabilities to prevent loss or harm.
- Perform regular checks of the premises to ensure compliance with security protocols and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to visitors and employees, while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness and be prepared to respond to any situation that may arise.

Requirements:

- A certificate in CPR and first aid.
- A valid certificate in law enforcement or a related field.
- A strong background in conflict management and loss prevention.
- Excellent surveillance and CCTV monitoring skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A militarized background is an asset.
- The ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be willing to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 50 per week
