Function: To provide technical expertise to Operations, Quality and Sales in the areas of product development, process control, quality improvements and failure analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Analyzing Sales inquiries to determine feasibility of production of new products. Design of processing to produce products with specified properties and structures. Analyzing data to develop new products and processes. Assisting Production and Quality departments in analyzing information to improve or solve problems in the processing of new and existing products. Structure and property analysis for product development and process capability. Failure analysis of products and internal structures. Technical support for Sales, Production, Quality and Engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the PTCA Quality Management System and its policies, procedures, and work instructions as applicable to the job or function being performed.
Education and Experience: BS in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Engineering

Qualification Requirements: Successful completion of an accredited curriculum in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Engineering with an emphasis on metallic materials.
Language Skills: A command of the English language, written and verbal is required.
Reasoning Ability: Getting Information - Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources. Analyzing Data or Information - Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts. Making Decisions and Solving Problems - Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Other Skills and Abilities: Computer literacy in standard business software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software packages is necessary.
