Primary Objectives of Position:
- Provide mechanical & tire service in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist in achieving the cooperative’s mission and goals
- Perform every task with outstanding customer service
- Adhere to all cooperative, federal, and state policies and procedures
- The ability to be flexible moving from job to job to keep all departments working
- Ability to complete tasks in field situations unsupervised
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Communicating with customers regarding their needs
- Repair and maintenance of customer and company equipment
- Inspecting and assessing tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and tire overall health
- Recommending appropriate treatment or replacement of tire
- Repairing punctures and replacing faulty valves as needed
- Installing new tires per equipment specifications
- Balancing tires and completing wheel alignment procedures
- Keep accurate records of all service time and parts used
- Inform supervisor of inventory needs
- Ability to work well with others to accomplish a goal (teamwork)
- Perform vehicle repairs within guidelines of shop equipment provided only
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL License
- Familiar with DOT guidelines for equipment repair
- Be able to lift 50 lbs frequently
- Familiar Experience with vehicle repair
