Allied Mobile Systems, a thriving and rapidly expanding company, is a privately owned subsidiary of The Godwin Group based in Dunn, NC. The Mobile Hydraulics Technician reports directly to the company’s General Manager. The successful candidate will initially work with the team to learn our mobile electronic and hydraulic control systems. The expectation is to develop knowledge and skills to provide support for our existing products, projects to improve functionality of existing products, and development of new products. The candidate will work with customers, vendors, and project teams. Starting wage ranges from $42,000 and upwards
based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Mobile Hydraulic technician with a strong electrical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems on trucks, reading and interpreting wiring schematics, and troubleshooting complex electrical controls. Experience with IQAN control systems is a strong plus.
Qualifications
- Experience in mobile hydraulic systems or heavy equipment service
- Strong electrical diagnostic and repair skills
- Ability to read and work from wiring schematics and technical diagrams
- Familiarity with 12V and 24V vehicle systems
- Experience with IQAN software or similar electronic control systems preferred
- Computer skills (for diagnostics and documentation)
- CDL license is a plus, or willingness to obtain a CDL license
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and electronic systems on various types of trucks and equipment
- Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Perform field service calls and onsite troubleshooting
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot mobile control systems
- Work independently and efficiently in a mobile service role
- Interface with customers professionally and communicate job status clearly
- Document work completed, parts used, and follow-up with customers
- Customer support including troubleshooting, technical training, and operational training
- Work with project teams from design through implementation
- Work with team on preparation and refinement of product manuals, training materials, and technical documentation
- Work with cross-functional team (design, manufacturing plant personnel, purchasing, distributors, and customers) in support of new projects and existing systems
- Some overnight travel is required (customer visits, trade shows, etc.)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with dump trucks, service trucks, or custom truck upfits
- Mechanical assembly experience
- Strong communication and time management skills
