The Role And You:

The Assistant Controller serves as a key resource for the organization and provides daily financial oversight to ensure that the financial records are complete, accurate, and comply with generally accepted accounting principles, policies, and regulations to facilitate solid decision support. The Assistant Controller is responsible for general accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This person will build relationships with all departments by resolving questions, researching transactions and budget/trend variances, and communicating regularly and timely. The Assistant Controller joins a legacy Finance & Accounting team and will collaborate with the Controller and CFO on projects and other deliverables.


We’re looking for a self-motivated, driven individual to join our team. This would be someone that:

  • Communicates well in writing and in person
  • Works well independently, being goal-oriented
  • Also works well within a team - because we can do so much more together!
  • Lives in the DFW area or is currently planning to relocate to the DFW area
  • Enjoys periodic work-related travel (within the US)
  • Handles technology with ease (such as MS Excel or learning healthcare software systems)
  • Is experienced in accounting
  • Cares about the details and takes personal pride in their work results
  • Has a natural curiosity and a desire to solve problems

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare and consolidate financial statements
  • Establish and maintain internal controls
  • Manage all aspects of the general ledger
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses
  • Assist with the budgeting process
  • Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting departments
  • Work with other teams to standardize corporate accounting procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting 
  • 5 -7 years of accounting experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP and other applicable regulatory rules, regulations, and requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with demonstrated teamwork and vendor management skills
  • Experience in a deadline-oriented, multi-task environment
  • Proven ability to interact with all levels of management and other staff

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
