As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control at key entry points, greet drivers and associates, and verify credentials while supporting security-related screening procedures. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce incidents, and document activity using site systems. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry and exit points by checking identification, verifying visitor and driver credentials, issuing temporary badges when authorized, and directing foot and vehicle traffic to appropriate areas.
• Monitor inbound and outbound shipments and yard activity by observing loading dock operations, logging trailer and seal information, and reporting irregularities per site procedures to help to deter loss and/or unauthorized movement.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with incident documentation and communicating updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yards, and perimeter areas, watching for suspicious activity, unsecured doors, damaged fencing, and/or hazards, and reporting concerns according to site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
