Job Description:
Carries out full range of learning and development activities including assessment, planning, design, delivery and consultation specific to the clinical area or department.
Principle Responsibilities

Plans education.
- Designs the action plan for specific department initiatives.
- Performs continuous assessment, prioritization, and revision of the plan as needed.
- Supports the implementation and communication of standard learning solutions.

Designs learning solutions.
- Designs learning solutions for the assigned initiatives.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the solution and address those findings.
- Makes recommendations to the department manager around prioritization or change in tactical plans.

Delivers education, traveling extensively to sites transporting equipment for education.
- Delivers training to select staff.
- Applies adult learning principles in the classroom.
- Evaluates immediate learner response and act to mitigate issues.
- Provides consultation, integrates knowledge and expertise around related standards into learning solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Vocational degree Paramedic education or Nursing, depending on clinical setting
- 2 to 5 years in learning and development experience
- 2 to 5 years in clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Paramedic education or Nursing, depending on clinical setting
Licenses/Certifications
- Certified Paramedic - MN Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board required for Paramedic staff upon hire
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required for Registered Nurses in Minnesota practice setting upon hire
- Licensed Registered Nurse - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required for Registered Nurses in Wisconsin practice setting upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire. After hire recertification required through American Heart Association
- American Heart Association ACLS/PALS/BLS Instructor Certification required within 6 months of hire
