What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Supervisor position at Allwel?
JOB OVERVIEW
• Responsible for the training orientation and ongoing evaluation of PCAs and HHAs
• Manage caregivers and field staff while on assignment (clinical functions); assesses and investigates caregiver and field staff concerns and issues, and provides performance coaching, counseling and disciplinary action when appropriate
• Participate in recruitment and retention activities as required
COMPLIANCE:
• Adhere to all Federal, State, and Local contract regulations and all programs where applicable or required by state regulations
• Function within the scope of the NYS Nurse Practice Act for RN Licensure
• Responsible for reports required by Human Resources and Director of Patient Services
• Collaborate with the clinical team to perform documentation review
• Review PCA/HHA documentation including vouchers, communication logs, contact notes for accuracy
• Participate in annual policy/procedure review as requested
• Participate in clinical quality initiative activities
• Participate in PCA/HHA evaluations
• Rotate on-call responsibilities with other Clinical Supervisors per a schedule established by the Director of Patient Services.
• Perform UAS’ as assigned

Requirements:

• Active NYS RN License
• Per New York State Requirements, all candidates must be Covid-19 vaccinated unless a verifiable, State acceptable medical exemption from their doctor can be produced.
Work Experience/Education:
• Two years satisfactory Nursing experience in Nursing, and at least one year must be in the provision of home health care services.
• Valid NYS driver’s license, clearance through NYPD for Convictions of Criminal Offenses.
• NYS Licensed and currently registered as an RN
• Graduate of an approved RN program
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills
