Home Health Agency looking for experienced LVNs IMMEDIATE hire!
Nurses will be visiting patients in the City of San Fernando Valley, California
The Licensed Vocational Nurse responsibilities include following the plan of care, providing treatments, and working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive patient care outcomes. LVN will work under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) and reporting changes to RN.
Responsibilities
- Provide health care services in patients residence
- Administer simple prescribed medications
- Assist with clients personal care activities
- Monitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc) and report on their condition
- Maintain patients care records and document provided services
- Assist patients with mobility and physical therapies/exercises
- Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise
- Collect routine specimens
- Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support
Skills
- Proven working experience as home health LVN
- Ability to monitor vital signs and to collect specimens
- Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards
- Proficiency in English
- Nursing and health care administration skills
- Caring and compassionate personality
- Current CPR certificate
- Current State Valid License
- Valid State driver’s license
- Current (6mos) PTE and TB
Job Types: Full-time, Per diem
Pay: $38.00 - $50.00 per hour
