  • Lead controls development through design, layout, testing, and evaluation of electrical and control systems.
  • Prepare electrical schematics and bill of materials for the fabrication and assembly of equipment
  • Interface with manufacturing and service to support product assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with a cross functional team of software and mechanical engineers to develop innovative solutions
  • Coordinate development efforts with suppliers and in-house personnel to minimize time-to-market while ensuring that New Product Development milestones are completed.
  • Manage and continuously improve in-house testing procedures for electronic components for safety, reliability, and quality.
  • Liaise with product lines to provide best electrical and control practices, as well as help troubleshooting to maintain best in class equipment category.
  • Assist in code compliance activities for new and existing products including UL.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5 years control circuit design for commercial or industrial equipment with hands-on development experience required.
  • Experience with software programming languages; IEC 61131-3 programming languages and C#
  • Deep knowledge of hardware, embedded firmware, and the ability to write specifications to align suppliers in support of new product development efforts.
  • Capable of leading multiple projects simultaneously requiring supplier coordination, hands-on testing, and troubleshooting in the lab.
  • Acts with a sense of urgency to create a strong result orientated culture
  • Schematic design and wiring diagram experience is required in addition to familiarity with mechanical design practices and data acquisition software to support testing efforts.
  • Knowledge of OSHA Requirements to include Electrical Safety, Machine Guarding, and Authorized Lockout/Tagout Procedures.
